ASTROLOGY AS WE KNOW IT

Western astrological charts are drawn up by astrologers by using a person's time, day, year, and place of birth. Therefore, not even twins can have an identical chart, because they're born at different times - even during a caesarian birth. The state of the heavens will have altered sufficiently during the time gap between the births to make the birth charts of twins non-identical.

An astrological chart shows an astrologer where the twelve designated constellations of stars in the Milky Way (that make up the signs of Zodiac) and planets in the solar system were in regard to one another when its subject was born. The astrologer uses astrological information that has accumulated over many centuries to create the chart, and then interprets the information relevant to that snapshot of the heavens.

The planets used in astrology include the sun and the moon, which are not really planets. Moreover, very recently, there has also been the discovery of a new planet way beyond Pluto, which is really the size of a moon, that has been called Chiron. Much of the astrological information will conflict with or discolour other information, and so the accuracy of the interpretation is the all-important art involved in astrology. Just as a great painter knows how to mix and match colours to create a particular effect, it would seem that an astrologer of excellence knows how to interpret the significance of conflicting astrological data in meaningful ways.

It obviously isn't going to be likely that many submission forms will be returned to this site by people who share a time, day, year, and place of birth. But, the closer that the birth details of two or more submissions are, the greater the analytical attention that will be devoted to them.

Even though everyone has a unique astrological portrait that varies from all of the other people born on the same day of the year, for astrology to be valid (the astrology columns in newspapers and magazines in particular), they must all have quite a bit in common, which, over a lengthy period, a site such as this one can readily verify and explore in depth - or expose it as a false notion.
